HISTORY
Chiara and Rosanna are custodians and witnesses of this history. They open the gates of the estate in the lands of the Allegracore district (in Randazzo) with energy and wonder to those who sincerely want to know more. Their olives, native varieties, grown over the decades on lava soils, are cultivated among pear trees, vineyards, chestnut trees and oaks. From these comes the oil that Boniviri is proud to make you taste, the result of full respect for nature and the local biodiversity heritage. Chiara and Rosanna are the first producers to join the project and with whom we are proud to walk side by side, because they are visionary, guardian, genuine, attentive and respectful. Wonderfully Boniviri.
When Chiara and Rosanna walk through the now luxuriant fields, made of lava, earth and water, they tell with emotion how everything around them manages to resist. It is the result of courageous choices, risky in someone's eyes, yet authentic and exciting: how can we not think that their work is extraordinary? Etna, in 1981, wanted to stop its fiery tongue a few meters from the heart of the Romeo del Castello farms. Saving the paper flowers that decorate the walls of the ancient house, the wooden barrels, and the medieval tower, but submerging several acres of lush vineyard under a black blanket. That wall of lava, today, is a dark rock that breaks the time of the millenary lands on which one walks. In the midst of it, surviving trees and roots have gained strength and are proudly reborn.
BONIVIRI
Boniviri's protocol
Boniviri selects small Italian farms that have three fundamental characteristics :
They are creators of excellent products in terms of quality and gastronomy
They are committed to a path of sustainability and social impact
With their work they are custodians of local values and heritage
Boniviri follows the producers during all cultivation processes, working together with them to ensure quality and sustainability.
For this reason, it is developing a shared protocol and a digital platform useful for mapping the productivity performances and attention to the environment of the partner companies of the project.
