Azienda Agricola Sallicano

Almonds

Not far from the Vendicari nature reserve, in the Bimmisca district, ancient rows of olive trees flank the slope of a hill. They are the properties of the Sallicano family, today cared for by the siblings Sergio and Marianna. The company has been standing on these lands for more than a century, where various crops have followed, including the most important: olives and almonds.

Roberto is the young custodian of Azienda Agricola Sari, an excellent Sicilian company that dedicates research, commitment and passion to the production of spices and the cultivation of aromatic and medicinal plants. The land is located in the Grotta Comune district in Trecastagni, in the province of Catania, inside the Etna Park.

It is a small farm covering around 20 hectares, where Rosaria grows ancient Sicilian grains, chickpeas and legumes, plus an olive grove producing cerasuola, nocellara and biancolilla olives for oil, all strictly organic.
